Blue screen of death. Is there anything i can do?

-I was working on a project for work. Currently im using my droid phone. But out of no where my laptop blue screens. When I try to restart my computer it says" no bootable devices- - strike f1 to retry, (nothing happens when I clicked that) f2 for setup utility, press f5 to run onboard diagnostics." Will I be able to get my work back? Is this fixable?it seems like your operating system (windows vista, XP, 7, etc.) has uninstalled, most likely because of a virus. Your work may still be on your computer, but you will need to reinstall the operating system to get to it. but to be brutally honest, i wouldn't get my hopes up. You're whole computer could have been erased from this virus, either way, it could be fixable.



you could try:



- opening your computer (this may void the warranty) and ensuring that the hard disk is properly attached.



- restoring the files from system restore (pretty tricky, and you may not have had the files saved)



- begging your boss for mercy
Try booting up in safe mode (tap F8 while booting) and using System Restore to roll back your system settings to an earlier date.
No Bootable devices -> sounds like your HDD died out
