My macbook pro says 'service battery'... what does it mean?

-i will only charge up to 81% battery :S i also have apple care if i need to use itIt means service (i.e. replace) battery.

This could be the lithium recharger that powers the computer, or the small lithium clock battery that powers the CPU memory when the main battery is flat or removed (thus retaining time and date etc)

Apple store is your way to be sure to be sure. Why would you come to Yahoo Answers when you have apple care and you have a telephone. Why would you not use something that you have already paid for, and ask for help from those who are getting paid for this, and prepaid by you?

That is the one thing about this "list" that I have yet to understand, Apple has the absolutely largest and best and easiest Support site for any computer in the world. FREE even. It also has the help line, and most calls are free, just used it last week with a question about Lion, family pack. Within a couple of minutes I found out.

So, first problem that comes up, don't use Yahoo, Call Apple or take it to the Apple Store in the area if any. Do not take to Best Buy, Geek Squad, or anything else. You have paid for already Apple Care. Do not throw that money away.

All I ask is please be nice, say please and thank you. It will make their day. thanks
