-It's a Dell Inspiron but there are no numbers after Inspiron. The sticker on the back isn't there because I had the bottom plastic replaced and the guy took it with him. I am trying to buy a new battery but I need to know what model I'm looking for. Please help!Open up the command prompt and type systeminfo
so click START then RUN type in the box CMD and hit enter. In the black box that comes up type "systeminfo" without the "" and hit enter. You may need to scroll up on the black box but it should say the model number

and who the hell gave this a thumbs down that works you fool you just dont know how to do it
You could try going to dells website and see if they have a "check model" option when looking for drivers. I know some companies have an option like that (i used to have a gateway laptop that i forgot the model number of and their website had a check model option that i used to find it out)
Does it have the Dell support software still installed? With the service code embedded there, you can look up all your details.
Dell's support page may be able to analyzer your system and figure it out: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/DellP鈥?/a>
a program called speccy can give you even more info
