-Hello experts! I wanna know can
rubber gloves be able to prevent
the electrostatic charges?like
anti-static wrist strap? It is
secure? Can you assure that?
Please let me know! Thanks a
lot!!...Yes and no...The very thin surgical gloves can stop a minor discharge but if you grab a board with the sharp tails if components have been cut off they will easily puncture the glove so a discharge can occur. using thicker gloves will prevent the discharge but you lose the "feel" when working on delicate parts. I know you often see "techs" wearing the gloves but that's more for protecting the component contacts from the acidic oils on your fingers, not for static discharge!Yes they are if talking about something similar to medical rubber gloves ,something i should be wearing but i don't when working on pc's , just touch the metal of the case to discharged the static electricity and always touching metal when working inside the case, so your answer is yes, especially installing the motherboard and the ram.
Nope. For a normal electrical voltage, just sure they aint wet
